Story: Wer kennt nicht die schönen Bilder aus Norwegen. Das Meer umsäumt von Bergen. Willkommen am Mittelmeer in Montenegro. Das kleine Örtchen Kotor ist einfach nur traumhaft schön. Ernsthaft, wir haben selten schönere Orte gesehen und erlebt, deshalb wollen wir hier auch nicht viele Worte verlieren. Reist selbst hierher!
Do’s:
- sich in den kleinen Gassen in der Altstadt verlieren
- Kotor von einem Aussichtspunkt sehen (entweder mit dem Auto Richtung Sveti Stefan fahren, dabei aber nicht die Tunnelroute nehmen oder die Stadtmauern entlang wandern)
Don’ts:
- es nocht auf der Montenegro-Liste haben
Coeliac/Glutenfree:
Cesarica, what a treat it was to find this place! While they don’t have specifically gluten free items on the menu, one of the two waitresses there is also coeliac. Naturally this made all the staff and cooks deeply knowledgable about the glutinous contents of the entire menu and how to avoid them. A special treat for me, Diana the waitress even shared some of her personal homemade gluten free bread with me to go with my shrimp risotto (p.s. don’t miss it, best risotto we’ve ever had!). The restaurant has a lovely quiet atmosphere just off the beaten track of all the other tourist restaurants, and we thought the prices were the same. We spent much of our evening sitting and talking with the owner, who also runs an adventure company offering diving, canyoning, etc. (we didn’t realise you could do such things in Kotor). Overall, with the friendliness of the staff, local experience, delicious food, and value for money, this place comes as the most highly recommended dining out experience of our entire trip. Simply go there!

Von Sveti Stefan fährt man knapp unter einer Stunde. Die Strecke über die Berge dauert nur unwesentlich länger, bietet aber super Aussicht.
